One day of filming should go a long way

You can get several films from a single shoot if you plan for every platform before the cameras roll. A website film, a conference opener, a LinkedIn clip and a vertical social edit can all come from one day, as long as the day is designed for them. It’s one of the simplest ways to make a budget go further.

Every hour on set costs the same. What changes is how much you walk away with.

How can one shoot create content for multiple platforms?

By agreeing on what each film needs to do before anyone picks up a camera. A launch film, a recruitment advert and a social clip can share the same material, but each has a different job. Knowing those jobs early shapes the questions we ask, the shots we chase and how we frame them.

How do you film for horizontal and vertical video at once?

Frame with room to crop. Leaving space around your subject means the same shot works at 16:9 for the web and 9:16 for social. We ask interviewees to answer in full sentences, so every clip stands on its own, and grab the extra cutaways that make shorter edits possible. None of it slows the day down.

How do you keep the message consistent across versions?

With a shared story, look and tone. A fifteen-second clip should feel like part of the same campaign as the three-minute hero film, not something cobbled together afterwards.

What it means for you

Tell your production company everywhere the film needs to go, even the places you’re unsure about. It costs very little to plan for at the start, and a lot more to go back and film again. It’s how our Leicester team approaches every shoot, whatever the size.
